Robert F. Buie, Founding Principal

Bob Buie has made his mark in the Southern California real estate development industry, by developing his craft and impeccable relationships grounded in enduring partner alliances for over 45 years. He has been instrumental in the development of high profile, master-planned communities, and over 10,000 residential units. He was formerly a senior officer of a publicly-traded homebuilder and formed the Buie Stoddard Group of Companies in 1983. Mr. Buie received an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a Civil Engineering degree from Virginia Polytechnical Institute.

Jeffry L. Stoddard, Founding Principal

Jeff Stoddard is a passionate real estate strategist with extensive experience in land development, home building and income property development. His diligence for creating wealth in real estate has resulted in numerous acquisitions and development of residential and commercial projects in Southern California and Idaho for over 35 years. Mr. Stoddard received an MBA from Harvard Business School and degrees in Business Administration from the University of Idaho. Prior to co-founding the Buie Stoddard Group of Companies, he held positions at AVCO Community Developers and Continental Illinois National Bank.

James M. Saivar, Founding Principal

For the past 35 years, Jim Saivar has been the visionary leading the design, planning and marketing of thousands of residential units in master-planned communities throughout Southern California. Mr. Saivar graduated from California State University at Northridge with a degree in Business Administration. He has received numerous awards for marketing excellence over the past two decades and is recognized as a leader in residential marketing.

Robert Montgomery, Vice President/Director of Planning

Bob Montgomery is responsible for project entitlement, governmental relations and land acquisition research. Mr. Montgomery has been with the Buie Stoddard Group for more than 30 years. His accomplishments include planning, zoning and development permit entitlements for more than 10,000 homes and over 1,000,000 square feet of retail, office, apartment, and hospitality projects. Mr. Montgomery is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine and has been working in planning and real estate development since 1973.

Andrea Manning, Vice President Asset Management

Andrea Manning is responsible for managing the Company’s portfolio of retail and office assets, including financial performance, leasing efforts and overseeing the property management team. After graduating from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in economics, Mrs. Manning began her career at CBRE where she worked with one of the company's top retail investment teams. In 2007, she transitioned to Burnham USA Equities, where she served as Real Estate Manager overseeing the leasing and management of a portfolio consisting of retail, office and mixed-use properties. Mrs. Manning is a licensed real estate broker, Certified Leasing Specialist through the International Council of Shopping Centers and carries her CPM designation through IREM.

Brandon Valanty, Vice President of Finance/Controller

Brandon Valanty oversees all financial and administrative aspects of the business and drives the company’s financial strategy, planning, reporting and investment opportunities. He is also responsible for debt management, investor relations, acquisitions and dispositions and financial modeling. Valanty brings twenty plus years’ experience to Buie Stoddard Group with a broad range of industry experience including debt and equity, asset management, receiverships, acquisitions and dispositions, and other financial responsibilities. Valanty holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Finance from Texas Christian University, and a Master’s in Business Administration, Finance from University of North Texas.

Zack Stoddard, Leasing and Development Manager

Leasing and Development Manager, responsible for project management and lease-up of new developments. After graduating from the University of Puget Sound, Zack began his real estate career by working in market research, property management, and transitioned to brokerage at one of Idaho’s top firms, Thornton Oliver Keller (TOK). Zack’s experience in office and industrial leasing and sales laid the foundation for a successful transition to BSGRE’s team in late 2021.
